CHRISTIAN ACTIVITIES

Here at Cheltenham YMCA we are very fortunate to have a small Chapel situated just off our reception area, reminding all who visit that the Young Men’s Christian Association is firmly rooted in Christian values and service.

(A detailed history of Cheltenham YMCA can be found in the book “Tales of the Red Triangle”, which is available to purchase at just £5 per copy from our Reception)

PAUSE FOR THOUGHT

“Pause for Thought” – that’s exactly what it is! Why don’t you take some time out and join us at 10.30 am on a Wednesday morning (during term time) in the YMCA Chapel?

The programme usually lasts about 15 minutes and Christian speakers lead us in a short act of worship that includes a topical message, sometimes a song, and always a time of prayer. We have a coffee in Café Y afterwards. Everyone is welcome. Come and join us. Click here for details of speakers over the coming weeks.

WEEKLY PRAYER MEETING

Every Monday afternoon we hold a prayer meeting in The Chapel where we pray for the work of the YMCA – both locally here in Cheltenham and further afield. If you are interested in joining us in this time of prayer, please contact Karen for more details.

A moment's reflection...

Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’

Matthew 25:37-40 (Taken from the New International Version of the Bible)
