Cheltenham YMCA currently has over 50 volunteers who regularly get involved with our work.

Some serve on the Board of Directors, others lead activities (for example, karate or badminton), some work in our charity shop (the best in the country!), others raise funds for Y-Care International (the YMCA's own development agency).

WHAT CAN I DO?

There are many opportunities to volunteer and support the work of Cheltenham YMCA. Here are some suggestions... youth work, work with children, maintenance work, Cafe work, fitness assistants, sports assistants, fundraising, etc.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

You can download a Volunteer application form or alternatively you can contact us and we will send you an application form. Once we receive your form we will arrange to meet with you to discuss in detail how you would like to be involved.

Volunteering can be a great deal of fun and you can be assured of a warm welcome at the YMCA.

VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE

Because of the nature of our work with children and young people we have a clear volunteer recruitment procedure. We will thoroughly check the suitability of every volunteer wishing to work with children and/or young people, including a check through the Criminal Records Bureau.
