Designed for senior members, Cheltenham YMCA's Over Fifties activities encourage mobility, strength and flexibility.
The classes start with a group session, then members can choose to participate in activities such as badminton, table tennis or use the gym. This is normally followed by a rewarding cup of tea in Cheltenham YMCA's own Café Y.
MOBILISTICS & 50 PLUS
For those wanting to increase their general fitness level, this class caters for senior members with a range of abilities. It comprises a group work-out followed by an optional gym session under supervision, badminton or even table tennis.
BELLY DANCING
Belly Dancing is fun for all ages, from 18 to 80. Gentle moves tone all the body's muscles, improving your fitness and balance whilst generating confidence and poise. Jogging bottoms, comfy top, bare feet or ballet pumps are best. "A fleeting escape from the strains of modern Western life into the mystical rhythms of the East".
