Cheltenham YMCA has an interesting and varied programme for those in the fifty plus age group.
50+ activities at Cheltenham YMCA
Designed for senior members, 50+ activities encourage mobility, strength and flexibility. The class starts with a group session, then members can participate in activities such as badminton, table tennis or use the gym. Finally the group can meet for a rewarding cup of tea.
Mobilistics
For those wanting to increase their general fitness level, this class caters for senior members with a range of abilities. It comprises of a group work-out followed by an optional gym session under supervision.
Belly Dancing
Belly Dancing is fun for all ages, from 18 to 80. Gentle moves tone all the body's muscles, improving your fitness and balance whilst generating confidence and poise. Jogging bottoms, comfy top, bare feet or ballet pumps are best. "A fleeting escape from the strains of modern Western life into the mystical rhythms of the East".
